04 April 2024: In an unnamed IDP camp, Mugunga town, North Kivu province, two people were killed and an unspecified number injured after a grenade exploded. Source: Tazama DRC Info

05 April 2024: In Shabintu Refugee Camp, Goma city, North Kivu province, an elderly man and a child were killed and an unspecified number injured when a man triggered a grenade explosion close to an MSF clinic. 05 April 2024: In Zone Seven, Pugnido Refugee Camp, Gog woreda, Gambella region, ten people were killed and 19 injured when an unidentified armed group opened fire. Source: ACLED1

01 April 2024: In Makpandu Refugee Camp, Yambio county, Western Equatoria state, security guards clashed with armed bandits who tried to rob their guns. Source: Eye Radio

14 April 2024: In Abu Shouk IDP Camp, El Fasher city, North Darfur state, an unspecified number of displaced people were killed when an armed group shelled artillery at the camp. Houses in blocks 9 and 13 were also damaged. Source: ACLED1

As reported on 18 April 2024: In Zone I, Nduta Refugee Camp, Kibondo district, Kigoma region, at least five Burundian refugees “guilty of petty offences that cannot be prosecuted” have reportedly been tortured in an improvised cell hidden inside the office of the Camp President.
